Feb. 14 through the 17 me, Nyles, Alyx & my mom & dad went to California to take Alyx to the beach & Disneyland.  We woke up at 2am on the 14th and drove to Cali until we got to Laguna Beach.  Alyx was a bit apprehensive about the ocean at first but then she absolutely loved it and kept walking into the water.  We found crabs and sea anemones and wrote our names and shapes in the sand.  Alyx just loved it all.  We went to Tom's Tacos (family tradition) so delicious.  Then we went & checked into our hotel right next to Disneyland & just relaxed.  That night we went to the Downtown Disney District and just walked around to all the shops.  Alyx payed attention to everything and just loved looking at it all.  The next day we got up early and went to breakfast, then we went to Disneyland.  As soon as we got inside Alyx just took everything in.  In most of the pictures you think she's not happy or loving it but she was just paying so much attention to every little thing.  We went to It's A Small World ride, then rode the King Arthur Carrousel & then we went on Dumbo.  While Mom, Dad & Alyx waited in line for the Finding Nemo submarine, me & Nyles went on the Matterhorn.  Then we caught up with them in line & went on the submarine.  It's actually pretty cool how they've done it.  Next Nyles & I went on Space Mountain & Captain EO while Alyx went on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Toon Town, & met the Princesses with Dee Dee & Grandpa.  We then went to lunch and relaxed for a little bit.  After that we split up again & while me & Nyles went to California Adventure, Alyx & Mom & Dad went back to Disneyland where they went almost everywhere.  We went on Tower of Terror, Grizzly Rapids, & California Screamin'. They were lots of fun and we wished we could've gone on more rides but wanted to spend more time at Disneyland with Alyx. When we met up with them we went on Pirates of the Caribbean ride (Alyx's second time; she loved it) and the Hunted Mansion (we told Alyx they were silly ghost so she liked it & wasn't scared).  Then we finished off our Disneyland with Indiana Jones and then the park closed.  It was a long fun day & Alyx still talks about it at least once a day.  The next day we went to LA & went to the La Brea Tar Pits & saw the mammoth they're working on.  Then we went to Olvera street & had some yummy mexican food and shopped at the little mexican shops & then we went home.  It was a very fun little trip and we're so glad we got to do it with my mom & dad & that Alyx had so much fun.
