The Last Year & 3 Months In Review

Nov. 2009: Thanksgiving with both families in Mesa & Payson. Did a Davenport family photo shoot.

Dec. 2009: Nyles & I got a Wii for Christmas. Alyx got a FurReal Friends Lulu cat and other toys. Went up to Show Low to stay at aunt & uncle's cabin with my family from after Christmas to New Years.

Jan. 2010: Nyles' 24th birthday. His main present was a HTC Android Eris.




Feb. 2010: Welcomed Atticus the french bulldog to our family. Moved into a new apartment on Valentines. Bought a lot of new things for the apartment since we had only our bed set and Alyx's room stuff. Alyx went to the Phoenix Zoo with DeeDee, Vance, Camie & Will.

April 2010: Nyles randomly brought home two baby chickens, we named them Chocobo & Hershey. They were disgusting so we gave them to Nyles' aunt & uncle who have many chickens. (On a side note, we recently were given a dozen eggs from one of our chicks and they were a greenish gray color. They were crazy looking. Apparently that chicken is a araucana chicken & they are knowen to produce that color egg.) Found a dead dog stuffed in a box in the alley right next to our apartment. Camie took some easter pictures of Alyx. Went easter egg/ basket hunting at the park with the family and Atticus.

June 2010: My 23rd birthday. Went to Camie's salon and had her style my hair nice. Mom took me clothes shopping. Then we all went out to eat at yummy Serranos and my parents house for a party.




Aug. 2010: Moved into a rental house in Gilbert by Freestone park. Had to sell Atti (still makes us sad). Went to the Davenport family reunion up on the Rim.





Sept. 2010: Alyx's 2nd birthday. Had all the cousins come over to our house for a swim party. Alyx got a huge Toy Story ball that you can go inside among many other things she got for her birthday. She likes to use the ball as her own LoveSac. Started walking with Camie almost every day to Freestone park with the little ones and then going back to our house to swim. Nyles & I celebrated our 3rd anniversary. (I LOVE that man of mine, incidentally.)




Oct. 2010: Went to a few Halloween parties. Alyx was an adorable Lovebug.




Nov. 2010: Zachary, Nyles's brother, gave us his red Ford Tempo for practically free. Kept going back and forth on if we'd keep it but ended up selling it. Spent Thanksgiving with both families again in Mesa & Payson.

Dec. 2010: Went to some Christmas parties. Did quite a few white elephants. Alyx met Santa at DeeDee & Grandpa's ward Christmas party and then again at Bass Pro Shop. Moved back to Becky's. Had great Christmas eve, Christmas day, New Years with both families. Jared and Stephanie, Nyles's sister and bro-in-law, stayed at Becky's for most of that time & it was so fun hanging out with them and playing video games late into the night haha.

Jan. 2011: Welcomed Riddle the rottie/ german shepherd mix into our family. We got him from a rescuer and he is such a good boy. Nyles' 25th birthday. Both sides of the family got together for a party. Chase came home from his 2 year mission to New Zealand. As a result, my family went up to the cabin in Show Low again for an extended weekend. It broke mine and Nyles' record of not being 24 hours apart for 3 years 9 months and 5 days by making us be apart for 2 days because he started work as a baker for Dunkin Donuts, so he couldn't make it up there until Saturday. It was still nice being up there with my family and Alyx and then even better when Nyles got there.

Which brings us to...Feb. 2011: Not much has happend thus far since it's only been a little over a week into Feb. Nyles is top baker at his Dunkin Donuts and we are taking Alyx to Disneyland on the 15th so I'll have to post about that later.
