California Trip 2012

In May we went to California after spending about half a week in Mesa with Nyles' family.  My parents rented a condo in Dana Point & they, the 3 of us, & Camie & her family all went.  It was so fun being in California (the whole time Nyles was talking about how he wanted to move there).  We went down to the beach almost every day, it was so nice.  We went to Farrell's to celebrate Camie, Vance, & mine birthdays.  Apparently that's the place to do birthdays because they happened nonstop while we were there.  We went to LA 3 different days.  First time, we went to Olvera St. where there are all sorts of little mexican shops & resturants.  Then we went to La Brea Tar Pits & sight seeing in general.  Second time, we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific.  It was fun seeing all the different water life & petting the small sharks.  The kids loved being there.  The third time, we went to the LA Zoo.  It was a hot/ humid day so most of the animals were either sleeping or not in their habitats, but the kids still loved it.  We had a lot of fun & did many things.  I know we definitely weren't ready to go home.
