When Nyles got home from work Christmas morning, we woke up Alyx & told her Santa came. She was so excited to open up her stocking & presents. Chita was excited to get a rawhide in her stocking & Nyles loved his "Republicans For Voldemort" bumper sticker (since the first time he saw one, he thought it was funny & wanted one). It was a pretty good Christmas even though we missed out on family Christmas Eve & Christmas morning get togethers.
Before Christmas day, we were sitting in our living room when we heard a knock on the door. Nyles answered it & nobody was there, however, there was a big box of stuff. We brought it in & found a turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, small presents, & a few other nice things. We guessed we got "secret Santa" by the ward & felt so grateful that some body(ies) were thinking about us, knowing that we didn't get to see our families or have a feast for Thanksgiving & Christmas. Then a couple of days later, we got "secret Santa" again but we knew it was some of Nyles' work friends. They gave us all sorts of food & little presents as well. We definitely enjoy how wonderful & reaching out/ taking care of each other the people are here.
